Bonner, Stewart, and Penrose strike gold at the Odyssey
Three promising young Finn Valley athletes: Mark Bonner, 800m, Jodie
Stewart, Shot, and Madeline Penrose, walk, had impressive performances
to win their respective events at the Ulster indoor part 1 on Saturday
and Sunday.
Mark
was resilient in the way he fought for the title; Jodie had a p.b. and
Madeline was consistent lap on lap. Now they have sufficient time to
further improve before nationals.
Emma Mc Sorley, bronze in the shot and
Aileen Brennan bronze in the high jump completed the story.
Thanks to Ann Mc
Gill, Noreen Bonner, Bernie Alcorn, Paul Mc Daid, John Mc Laughlin and
Michael Penrose for providing transport.
