Two Valley officials on AAI board
Valley club chairman Patsy Mc Gonagle was elected to the chair of High
Performance at the AAI agm at the weekend. He beat Dublin
candidate Dermot Nagle by 170 to 40 votes; he was returned unopposed as
vice president.
It was also a successful meeting for Neil Martin who was
installed as the Ulster representative on the board. Neil had held this position
on the outgoing board. The third Donegal man is newcomer Brendan Mc
Daid from Letterkenny who is the new head of competition, replacing long
serving Milford man Paddy Marley.
This weekend its the North West 10k and after that it's a busy
schedule of schools competitions.
Sympathy is extended to Jonathan Campbell whose mother Daisy died and
was buried on Friday. Also to Brid Mc Menamin whose father Hugh died during
the week. May they rest in peace.
