Finn Valley Awards Night 2007-2008

The club hold their awards night on Sunday October 5th, the culmination of a busy week. At the function to which all underage athletes are invited some 38 youth athletes that won national medals in recent times will be acknowledged.

Elsewhere the club have had a few strong encouraging road performances with James Mc Intyre out and about on two occassions - Loughrea 5 mile last weekend 11th in 26.14 and previously a 10k in 32.56. Kay Byrne preparing for the Dublin marathon travelled to Bangor to take in a 10k and returned 40 odd while Cieran Kennedy was in the top 6 in Mooathon, an event that for whatever reason grows in popularity and long may it continue. It has a lot to do with the marketing of Donegal and the novelty challenge that it holds.
