Mc Gloin & Carlin Win 32nd Interfirms 5km

172 people took place in the 32 running of the Inter firms 5km in Letterkenny on Wednesday evening 20th May. a great opportunity for firms / companies to get their teams out. The race being won by Finn Valley man Kieran Carlin running for MS Ireland, Kieran took the early pace on closely followed by Colin Roberts Derry, another group of 4 which consisted of Valley men Tommy Farrell and John Mc Glinchey were a few seconds back. By the half way stage a gap of 15 sec had opened up from the leaders to the chasing group a gap that would open to over 20sec by the finish, the finishing time being 15.44, further back the first lady home Teresa Mc Gloin was on the heels of some of the senior men, tagging on to Pat Hagerty Teresa came through the line in 17.25. Returning to her first competitive race Catriona Devine had a exclent run finishing 2nd in a time of 18.29, this will give Catriona a new hunger, other notable performances were Clidhona Dunne who reduced her Pb by 34sec, Clidhona who's now training with more intent gained her reward by running 19.01.also running well was Charlie Gallagher getting back to racing, Charlie's time was 16.58. Congrats also to the Ayagharen crew (WTB) and to Mark Connolly for his efforts in sustaining the group there. Wining teams in both men's and women's were the HSE.
