Excellent days athletics at Finn Valley

Yes yet another excellent day of athletics at Finn Valley where close to 900 youngsters battled for honours in the 39th annual Donegal version of this particular programme . Enthusiasm and it wasnt confined to the young students as parents lent their vocal support and in the end of yet another expertly organised event by the local team the overall honours went to St Marys, Stranorlar in East Donegal ,Annagry in west donegal and Cashel in the South West . Aspects that stand out were the Toal twins Darragh and Oisin from Gaelscoil ,Letterkenny :Brother and sister Dean/ Leanne Kelly from Toobin : Amy Hanna , Annagry: Arlene Crossan , Lurgybrack : Jordan Reid , Ballyraine : and a young lad from Sessiaghoneill Deividas Tourita a shot putt of 11-22 m now thats good by any standard . Caoimhe Mc Menamin , St Marys Stranorlar was a class apart in her last year at primary school . So take a bow teachers, students and the members of Finn Valley ac who once again delivered an event to be proud of some 39 years since its inception .
