Bolt's Agent Ricky Simms big winner in Berlin

by Kieran Carlin.

It seems like everything and everyone rises to the top once they are associated with Usain Bolt, and the sprinter's agent Ricky Simms is not immune. Simms, who is also a director at Pace Sports Management in the United Kingston, represents athletes who won five gold medals and two bronze medals at the recently concluded World Championships in Berlin, Germany, In addition to Bolt, who won two individual gold medals at the meet in the 100-metre and 200-metre sprints, as well as another as a member of the Jamaican 4x100-metres relay squad that ran the second-fastest time ever, Simms also represents Kenyan duo Vivian Cheruiyot and Linet Masai, who took the women's 5000m and 10,000m titles, respectively.

Great Britain's Phillips Idowu, who struck gold in the men's triple jump, is also represented by Simms.

The athletes represented by Simms who won bronze medals include Jamaica's Delloreen Ennis-London, who won her medal in the women's 100-metre hurdles that was won by her Jamaican teammate Brigitte Foster-Hylton, and Moses Masai, who took home the bronze medal in the men's 10,000 metres.

Paul Doyle, who also represents several Jamaican athletes, including former world record holder Asafa Powell, was next on the list as the athletes he represents won three gold medals at the meet.
