New PB for Mc Gloin

Teresa Mc Gloin travelled to Belfast at the weekend to race in the Lagan side 10km. The annual road race, which coincided with the National Half Marathon in Ballybofey, attracted 750 runners from all parts of the Island.

The men's race being won by Josphat Boit from Kenya now running for Clonliffe Harriers in Dublin.

In the ladies Teresa Mc Gloin had a Ding Dong battle with Gladys Ganiel, O'Neill from Abbey AC, going thought the half way mark in a time of 17.35 both athletes were glued tighter. Ganiel's O'Neill then proceed to pull away from Mc Gloin at the 7k mark making a mere 18sec over the next 3k. Teresa Finishing with a new Personal Best of 35.55. This would also break the existing club 10k road record of 36.02, which was held by Catriona Mc Granaghan. Teresa will look forward firstly to the Donegal 5k road Championships that will be hosted by Finn Valley AC, then to the Cross Country season.
