Donegal Primary Schools Cross Country Results

It was a case of weather watching in the days prior to the annual Donegal primary schools cross country at Finn Valley Sept.29th . Thankfully a calm day greeted what for many hundreds of youngsters was their introduction to athletics well organised as usual by the local Valley club great and exciting competition a number of classic finishes like Tara Kate Harley v Leanne Kelly ,Tooban in the under 13 while Denver Kelly led a 1,2 for Tooban in the under 11 boys with his training partner Charles Mc Daid in pursuit. An impressive run from Enda Mc Cormick KIlmacrenan under 13 and indeen equally impressive Ailbhe O Donnell ,Annagry in under 11. SChools to impress from all areas Ballyshannon in the South the Gael Scoil and north to Carndonagh . JUst to welcome Bridgend and Cashel ,Fanad newcomers to the competition with a special word of appreciation to all teachers and helpers on the day .Full outline on www.finnvalleyac.com . A final word some 700 youngsters turned out and hopefully enjoyed their day out at athletics.
