Noel Collins first outing in Finn Valley colours

Noel Collins one of the most talented emerging athletes in Ireland just now had his first outing in Finn Valley colours last weekend recording 1-53 odd in Dublin. Noel whose best performance to date was in 2007 winning a silver medal in the European youth olympics in 2k steeple in Serbia at 5-52-06. He of course was a member of the Irish junior cross country team that competed in Dublin last December and has won AAA steeple title in addition to a number of key Irish schools titles his best for 800m 1-52 but his real choice of event is steeple and one day with hard work is capable of nailing that position on the European cup team with a sub 9 minutes 3k . A former student of Drumragh Integrated ,Omagh and currently studying at UUJ
