Mc Laughlin wins on the double for Valley

Sinead Mc Laughlin was setting records back in 1988 ,a Finn Valley record in the high @ 1-68m and a long jump record @ 5-98m both remain intact indeed she also still retains the club triple jump mark all of which clearly underlined the ability/talent of the Hse employee from Letterkenny . It was a period in life when she also represented Ireland internationally . So back on the track last weekend in Tullamore for national masters she won both the long and high which will please her no end as she heads into the winter . Pat Mc Crudden medalled in the 400m in his age range as did Kieran Carlin in sunny conditions so different from 2009 when rain lashed the venue .Other Valley competitors involved Sunday were Mark Connolly and Michael Penrose. That completes the 2010 T / F season back to club training next week for all and Senior middle distance leader Mark Connolly has a training weekend planned for all youth/senior athletes Weekend Sept 3-5th Sept. and its off on yet another cross country period of competition after that .Schools dates re primary and scondary cross country @ Finn Valley now an established annual event goes ahead late September . Invitations to issue next week .

Teresa Mc Gloin finally finally closed her season with a winning 9-42.44 3k in national league final again showing excellent progress through 2010 that time puts her in the top 6 Fin Vallley all time list over the distance a list that includes Mc Candless ,Harron ,Hargan, Mc Granaghan and Mc Ardle
