Odds and Ends

The club wish to congratulate Eunan Quinn (a former club member) who finished 8th in his category in the Iron Man competition (2 miles swim, 100ml cycle and 26.6 run). Eunan finished in a time of 10.06.52 and now qualifies to compete in the worlds to be held in Hawaii later this year. Finn Valley wish Eunan the best of luck

The club had a very welcome visit last week from former club athlete John O Brien. John who is home on holiday from Essex, was a former school and underage National champion and competed in the Blue and white for FinnValley. He is also former Tailteann Games champion. Patsy McGonagle club chairman travelled to the Tailteann games with John and Bernie English and recalls the proud the moment when Bernie won the 200m and John the 800m.

FinnValley wish to welcome home from America Eddie McNulty and his family. Eddie was a strong member of the Finn Valley senior men's squad and will now be a great addition to the veteran men's team.

Best of luck next weekend to all juveniles competing at the All Ireland Community Games Finals.

Juveniles training will commence on Tuesday 3rd September at 7.30pm.
