Club AGM; Cross-country fixtures

Finn Valley had a very successful Annual General Meeting last Monday night. The club wish to thank everyone who attended. Report to be given in next weeks notes.

The cross-country season is now well underway for all juveniles. A very successful primary and secondary school championships was held at the center over the past two weeks. Patsy McGonagle the driving force behind the event was very pleased with results and with the large number of competitors.

Focus is now on club competition and the first race of the season will be Juvenile Uneven age and Novice Donegal championships to be held in Killybegs on Sunday 6th November. The time-table for cross-country is as follows:

  • Sunday 6th October Uneven age and Novice Championships (Donegal Championships) in Killybegs.
  • Sunday 13th October Evenaged in Cranford.
  • Saturday 26th Oct Ulster Uneven Aged and Novice championships Comber, Co. Down.
  • Saturday 9 Nov Even aged and War Memorial championships, Shercock, Do Cavan.
  • Sunday 24 Nov All Ireland Inter County and Uneven Championships.
  • Sunday 8th Dec All Ireland evenaged and Novice championships

Trials for Veteran International Cross Country will be held on Sunday 20th October at the Gerry Farnan Cross Country race in Phoenix Park. The 5 Nations Cross Country is in Ballymena on Saturday November 16th.

Valley's senior men, women and veteran men and women are travelling to Dublin on Sunday to compete in the Rathfarnham 5k. Good luck to all involved.
