Valley Prepare for All Ireland Novice and Juvenile Evenaged CC at Dalgan Park Navan

This weekend all focus will be on Dalgan Park, Navan for the All Ireland Novice and Juvenile Evenaged cross-country championships.

Valley's Novice men's team will be lead by Joe Byrne, Simon Ward and Colm McBride and Valley are hopeful of winning the team title. This is a title never achieved before by any Donegal club and Finn Valley are confident that this hurdle will be overcome in Dalgan. Best of luck to all involved.

Our Juveniles have had great success so far this season and are confident that once again they will make an impact with 3 -4 teams coming through as they have achieved in previous weeks.

The bus for Dalgan which is in Navan and situated on the Dublin Road leaves Finn Valley at 7.30pm sharp and will travel via Castlefinn, Castlederg and Enniskillen.

Finn Valley will be holding their children's Christmas Party on Thursday 12th December in their Barnes Room at the center. DJ Gerry McLaughlin will be providing the music. All members are welcome and can take a guest along. The Disco is from 8 - 9.30pm for up to 12 years old and will continue to 11pm for the older age group as children will have school the following morning.

A Christmas Dinner will be held on Saturday 14th December for all club parents, coaches and members. Anyone wishing to attend please leave your name at the reception.

Valley's annual Stephen's day 5k handicapped race is once again around the corner. This is a long standing event which was started some 25 -26 years ago. This is a great family and fun day out which draws a crowd of about 100 +. Each competitor brings a small token which will be used in prize giving after the race. All monies from the race goes to a local charity. The race is open to all, runners, walkers, families, joggers etc. Race will start at 2pm.

All members note that a Buffet will be held at Finn Valley on New years Eve and music will be by Pauric.

It has now been confirmed at Level 1 coaching course will be held in early January at the center. This will be of interest to all coaches who have achieved their introductory stage. Details of course will be given later.

Grainne McGowan has expressed her satisfaction with the results of club membership which has now been completed for the year and the club wish to express their thanks to Grainne for her great work.
