Annual 5K Race Event Wraps up 2005

Finn Valley wind up another successful year at every level on and off the field of competition with their annual 5k road event on Boxing Day in aid of charity.

Start time for this years event is 2pm with registration beginning at 1pm. All welcome.

This event has had a chequered beginning in Drumboe forest then moving to a finish at McElhinneys, then to a 5 mile road race during the jogging boom.

In recent years it has settled to 5k and the social event that it has become.

Competitors are welcome to drop in for a hot whiskey afterwards or a cup of tea.

All walkers, joggers, family groups etc. are very welcome.

Looking Forward to 2006

After Christmas, training begins January 3rd for all and on that night a coaches meeting has been organised with an 8:30pm start.

The emphasis for the meeting will be on restructuring looking forward to the upcoming indoor season.
