Valley Masters win at Stormont

Men's Masters

The annual journey to Stormont for the international cross country proved doubly successful for Valley. The masters men, led by Ciaran Carlin, won the team event. Ciaran, despite fitness fears in the previous few days, finished 4th in 19:03, supported by John McGlinchey, who continues to improve, in 10th place, Donnie Bonner in 11th, and Mark Connolly 20th. The event was won by Greg Hull, North England, in 18.32.

U17 Boys

In the U17 Boys event Ian Ward 19.06 was 6th; Ivan Thomas, Wales, won in 18.28. Here Valley were second team, behind City of Norwich. Other Valley scorers Enda Doherty 14th and Darren McGlinchey 19th.

Senior Women

Clodagh Mc Cool was our sole representative in senior women, finishing 20th; this was a far cry from the days when Valley consistently dominated the senior women's team at this event.

Upcoming Events

This weekend trials for Donegal U-12, 14, cross country relays at Valley 11am followed by trials for Sportshall teams.
