Fine Performances from Valley Athletes in Spostshall

Two young Valley athletes made the exciting journey to Birmingham to add their contribution to the U13 Sportshall finals in the N.I.A. Nicole O'Leary a student at Stranorlar Vocational and an exciting athlete who first came to prominence as a member of Dooish N.S team in the local sports finished 4th in the shot and can do really well in the throwing events this summer. Ciara McGarvey, St. Columbas, an athlete who must qualify as one of the most dedicated and focused in the club joined up in a relay to finish 2nd in the 4 x 1 lap and was on the team that finished 3rd in the 4 x 2 lap. An enjoyable experience for both girls.

This weekend indeed the Easter period gives athletes an opportunity to evaluate and prepare for the summer months ahead.

The North West l0K on Sunday week will hopefully attract a strong local support in aid of M.S, Parkinson's North-West and Glendowan Church Building Fund. See http://www.northwest10k.com.
