Valley Masters Underline Strength with Track Victories.

Valley masters recorded a number of medal performances in 
Tullamore last Sunday.

Bosco Reid was took gold in the throws while brother Donal was 
collecting a bronze in the high jump.
 
Seamus McGranaghan, who has been a team leader of the senior squad in
the national league, recorded a medal performance in the long jump.  

On the track Dominic Bonner, Gerard Bogle and Frank Chaney were in the
medals in their respective events.

The women's team have qualified for this Sunday's league final with the
men just failing by a few points.  Congratulations to all involved as
we only re-entered the league this season after opting out for a few
years.

The participation of Brian Doyle in the European championships was very
encouraging for him; indeed he is included in the Irish team for the
relay in the Celtic cup this Thursday night 7-9 p.m. at Grangemouth;
this team is again managed by Patsy McGonagle.

Kieran McConnell has enjoyed a good season throwing many p.b.'s with the
6k, shot and 7-26k shot a p.b of 16.65m. recently.

Training is now underway for the winter period.
