International Selection For Finn Valley Masters

Finn Valley Master athletes continued to impact when they attended the
annual Gerry Farnan Memorial races in the Phoenix Park on Sunday
accompanied by team leader Neil Martin.  The following gained Irish
selection for the home countries event in Scotland next month.  Pat
Hegarty, Dominic Bonner, James McMahon, Noleen Porter and Jimmy Shields
in their respective age categories in the event which was an open event
Clodagh McCool 7th and Teresa McGloin 11th were individual entrants. 
The club also extend congratulations to Kevin Toner and Bridie Trearty
from Letterkenny and Cranford respectively who also gained selection.

The local interest over the weekend was the Ladies only 3K promoted as
the opening event in the A.A.I. Fit 4 Life series which were hosted by
LYIT attracted some 230 starters on a beautiful morning.  Grace Boyle
deserves great credit for pulling this event together in association
with the local charity Breast Cancer Care.  A most enjoyable event.

This Sunday it's back to Killybegs for the Ulster U-11, 13, 15, 17, 19
and Novice cross-country with a 12 noon start bus leaving Finn Valley
at 10 a.m.
 
Athletes are reminded that membership fees are now overdue and that it
is essential and a requirement to have a club vest.
