International Silver Medals for Finn Valley Athletes

Congratulations to our Masters athletes who competed so well in Croydon last weekend in the Masters Home Countries International Cross-Country.

Kay Byrne had a fantastic run finishing in 10th place overall and 5th in the O/40 category. Kay was the 3rd Irish Athlete home and was on the Irish Team that won the Silver medals in the O/40 section. Noeleen Porter also had a terrific run finishing 13th overall and also 5th in the O/35 section of the race scoring on the Irish team who won Silver medals in the O/35 section.

James McMahon was the 1st Irish man home in the men's race finishing in an excellent 9th place overall and 6th in the O/40 section. James led the Irish Team home to Silver medals in the O/40 section. Dominic Bonner finished in 33rd place overall and was the 6th Irishman home in the O/40 section.

Dungarvan

This weekend our juvenile athletes will be competing in the uneven age group National Cross-Country Championships in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. We have seven teams in the juvenile Championships and our Senior athletes will also be competing on the Donegal Teams in the National Senior Inter-Country Championships. The bus leaves the Finn Valley Centre at 9 a.m. sharp on Saturday morning returning home very late on Sunday night. We wish all our athletes the very best of luck.
