International Success in Ghent

2018 began well for Sommer Lecky  going second on the Irish all time list with 1.86, a mark shared by Sharon Gallen ,Lifford from back in 97/98 ,this mark a national junior record for Sommer and once again she hit 1.86 in Ghent Saturday in the Ifam international just failing at a new pb 1.89 the manner of her performance excellent and beating olympic silver medalist Demireva Bulgaria who on that occassion went clear at 1.97 in Brazil

In good company competing well ,progressing all is good as she takes in the Irish seniors this weekend defending her title

Interesting to note for future reference Deirdre Ryan an olympian  irish senior indoor record stands at 1.93 just for reference down the road
