Jimmy Carlin

A native of Tonduff, Cloghan who had come to live in Stranorlar some years ago was a constant spectator at local Finn Valley AC, GAA,and Finn Harps gatherings and occassions.  He passed away in Letterkenny General Hospital late on Sunday night.  His wake is in Dullaghans, Tievbrack, Castlefinn with burial in Glenfin Wednesday.

As a young man he never missed the local sports meetings and competed regularly in what were then the local parochial sports in places like Sessiaghoneill etc.  He retained that interest in his later life ever present at cross country, school athletics, etc and the Donegal and Finn Harps Games were a weekend highlight.

He will be missed as a quiet unassuming man that was ever present in the community. To his extended family we extend sympathy and may he rest in peace. RIP.

Highslide JS
Jimmy Carlin RIP.
