Stephens Day 5k

It's that time of year again and this year's Stephens Day 5k has a 12 noon start time .Entry pre the event @FinnVallCentre any day or on race day from 10 am .The event the oldest continuous road event in Donegal Athletics began 1972 in  Drumboe which is across the river from Mac Cumhaills park has seen many exciting celebs, both local and of an international status take part but it above all a family occasion an opportunity to get out walk Jog Run with friends and meet many back in their home area for the festive season .A contribution from the event is made annually to a local charity. Entry €10 adults and €5 students with all ages from primary school to 80 year old encouraged to turn out and gang around for a cuppa after .Always an enjoyable occasion. Olympic champions Mo Farah and Vivian Cheryiout are course record holders but again it's about the community getting together on the day .
